STI Type R V4,V5 Gearing
Guys,
Whats the Rev range doing about 80mph in the STI Type R V4 & V5.
The reason I'm asking is that I have seen a few I like to buy and having a STI V2 RA V-Ltd before, I just wondered if its the same in gearing.
Where as in the RA your doing about 4500 rpm at 80ish mph, and that was just to high when your doing motorway journeys.
Any help would be great regarding this matter and any other info you wish to provide as any expected problems, things to look out for and so on.
Cheers
Matt

sounds odd.
normal type rs are 19.6mph/1000 rpm in top.
V lims have the same 5th gear as a UK car (different final drive still) so it ends up arround 22.8.
basically is 0.738 as opposed to o.825 top gear ratio
