Thinking of biulding the power up on MY 97 sti typeR, what is the most it can take, before i save up fpr a JDM 6 speed. The car would be used as a weekend warrior, no dragging or tracks really.

The longevity of the box is down to individual driving style, my STi v4 has covered 3000mile+ at just under 400bhp and 340+lb/ft without any problems (now wheres that wood )

Roru is correct

I have an sti5 standard gearbox and it copes with 450+ and 400lbs plus - but I dont take it to drag strips (Elvington/Santa Pod, etc) as I cant afford the cost of the driveshafts, diffs, gearboxes, clutches, etc!
