im thinkin of buying a 2002 sti ppp,how can i tell how much its been tracked,the owner said he s done abit of track work.is this always a bad thing.thanks for your help

 

No not a problem, alot of scoobs will have seen a track in their life. Often it means they are looked after even more closely as they get interim services, extra care and attention to brakes etc.

as long as he is honest about any damage suffered,as gary said most track scoobys tend to be better looked after-regular 5,000 mile oil changes with fully synthetic oil etc check to see how many receipts he has for tyres/brake pads/modifications etc and could be worth getting aa or equivalent check re damage repairs. if it is a private buy be careful as it is nearly out of warranty and usually sold as seen not trying to put you but just so you have a few ideas of what to look out for,you can also test drive same model at scooby garage and compare
