Cool

Hard to say whether it will up your Insurance or not, but you must tell your Insurance company, the barstewards will use any excuse to get out of paying up on a claim.

The backbox will probably be viewed as a performance increase so will most likely add to your premium, push the fact that it is just a replacement stainless steel item and that performance gains are not proven. The wheels shouldn't cost you any extra but....

I have to agree - you _really_ don't want to run the risk of them not paying out if you have an accident.

Performance exhausts and alloys are certainly on the list of things they want to know about, but they won't necessarily cost you much extra. I was quoted a 9% increase for the full PPP by Greenlight. The biggest problem is if your underwriter simply won't cover the mods you've done, in which case you'll need to cancel that policy and get a new one.

I'm currently trying to find a company that'll be open-minded about any mods I want to make over the next year; I'll let you know how I get on.

Andy.

What a surprise!
I told them about the mods, and they want an extra £34!!!

Lets see what the renewal figure is in August, I rang Tesco's they didn't want to know unless the car had a tracker fitted
