I'd play the "Just Got it and REALLY didn't notice the Speed card" Especially if your previous car was a Slug (Don't know what that was obviously)
"You were just as shocked as they were when you got pulled.
Also play the work and ruined life card and see how you get on, may cost you a few quid but worth a try I reckon.
Damn Damn Un-lucky though, my sympathy is with you.
Listy
it was on a motorway and yeah it was somebody trying to have a go at me so i had to see what this baby could do, felt good leaving him behind mind.

In time you learn to just let them get on with it...unfortunately the plod caught you before you'd gotten desensitised to it.
My condolences! NS04

Unlucky, mate. Try the innocent, "didn't realise I was doing that fast" line. As long as you look sorry on the day, you will most likely to get 2-4 weeks bus communte with £200 fine + court fee (£50-100).
Don't bother getting a solicitor, unless loss of license for a month is going to cripple your ability to do your job, as it will cost you a fair whack, probably £500 plus. Duty solicitor on the day can help you present your case the best they can. They are often interns or newly qualified solicitors, so they tend to be genuinely helpful.
We've all bee there, or near there, or will... Anyone who has a Scooby or any performance car, and never breaks the speed limit is either lying, or are wasting their good money down the drain, so if anyone here gives you grief, take no notice, mate. Good luck, and hope you won't get too harshly done.
Oh, and finally, welcome to Scoobynet
