Default Help with Apexi Power FC map on my 1995 WRX?

Can someone please help with my Apexi Power FC?

I have installed it but wont be able to get mapped for another 5 weeks and dont wanna risk blowing the engine.

Would anyone be able to post or email me their 20*20 maps of ignition and Injector Maps and any other settings ie injector percentages if running 440cc and 550cc injectors, i need to run the car safely until i get it mapped.

I have reduced the advance by 5 degrees for safety at present each time i switch on the ignition.

I know every car is different but can someone send me some info.

I have the following mods, so someone with similar mods would be ideal:

440cc Injectors

HKS Front Mounted Intercooler

HKS Induction Kit

Apexi Full System from turbo back

Apexi AVCR Boost Controller

Apexi Power FC ECU
Walbro 255lt hr Fuel Pump

With the following to go on in a few weeks

550cc Denso Purple Top Injectors

SX Fuel Pressure Regulator

TD05 FE

Thanks
Carle.

Why not just stick the old ECU back on until you are getting it mapped?

When you consider that an A'Pexi PowerFC's out of the box settings will kill a UK car (I know its a WRX but its still English fuel) as soon as the boost picks up; youd be better leaving it until its mapped.

I can let you have mine if you'd like but it's going to be pretty different to what you'd need:

1997 Sti V3
Full decat
Apexi Intake
TMIC
Water Injection
Parralell fuel rail mod
VF23 @ 1.3 bar

It's also Work in progress but has been good for the last 12 months if a little on the rich side.

Depending on the model of your Fc it may either be set for 380s or for 440s - mine is set to 440s so i just run at 100%

The formula for calculation is simple:

Original 440 ÷ replacement 550= 0.80(80.0%)

Beware or raising exhaust temps too high when doing a blanket ign. retard like that.

TBH unless you have a some basic mapping skills and a wide band handy your probably better off runnin low boost and a good portion of octane booster in with the SUL until you get mapped....I can let you have mine if you'd like but it's going to be pretty different to what you'd need:

Leave the other mods till such time as it is mapped. The 5deg retard should be okay considering you have he addition of a FMIC, but it's no guarantee at all.

Or you can post me your ECU, I'll install a safe base map and return it next day, that will keep it safe until it is mapped proper.

As above, sending it to Andy F ( F for Fast! ) would be the safest if you can live without the car for a day or two, or have another "mapper" locally who can do a quick fix?
