Last week Shell announced the first winner of its Optimax Dream Car promotion - Martin Smith from Guildford. Lucky winner Martin
successfully collected 24 Optimax cards and was presented with his dream car - a Maserati Coupe - powered by a 4.2 litre, V8 engine
producing a massive 390 bhp and 330 lb/ft of torque!

Over the last six weeks Martin, like all Optimax customers, has received a pack
of six game cards when filling-up with Shell Optimax, each card detailing a top of the range Dream Car. As a result of successfully collecting a full set of 24 cards Martin was able to choose his dream car. After long and hard deliberation he picked the Maserati Coupe.
Once the news had sunk in Martin said,
"I've been a loyal user of Shell Optimax for the past four years now - I've been collecting the cards since the start of the promotion and can't believe I've won - when I first saw the car I just thought 'wow'!!"

dammit.... I thought about making my own lotus card....Bugger..

 

I'd love to know where he got the Lotus card.

I've been using Shell stations located near Guildford... on the A3 between Putney and the M25... on the A24 Leatherhead to Storrington and then all my local ones between Littlehampton and Brighton. I've even been in Dorset for a few days and tried a few stations in Poole and Bournemouth... not a sniff of the Lotus

One Shell station on the A24 has stopped stocking the cards, so I presume the competition is over?

Yup, offer is closed. *******! I like everyone else no doubt "only" needed the Exige. At least this confirms the deal was real...unless he turns out to be a Shell employee

 

I had them all except for the Lotus too.

At 1st I thought I'd won. I layed them all out. Counted them. 24...eh? 24 I've won!!!

Looked in my copy of the times and saw it had a pic of the Lotus card. I didn't have it but had 24 cards?

I'd had a double in there without realising

 

i think there were only 1 or 2 lotus cards in total ,i have only 200 cards which i play snap with my daughter!

Think I've got 9000 cards, problem is they are all the same

 

I'm expecting a Maserati to be on Ebay soon and then Litchifield Imports to chalk up another sale
