Just installing my turbo back exhaust system. Should i wrap my downpipe with some heat insulating tapr or soummat as the standard downpipe has a heat shield round it. If so what tape or stuff should i insulate it with?

at work we use the same stuff as aluminised heat sheild has fibre material on one side problem is it comes in certain lengths and diameters.

we stick it around brake and fuel lines for various car manufacturers

aston martin being the one which uses the stuff your on about
