I dunno if this forum is specifically Impreza based but, anyway, I was considering buying an early 90's Legacy turbo estate as a load lugger – but I know nothing about them. Can anyone help? Stuff such as performance, economy, what to look out for when buying etc. How much should I expect to pay for a tidy one on, say, an 'L' plate?

Though there is a lot of relevant stuff in here as the Legacy and Impreza share most mechanical parts. I've a GTB twin turbo estate (& STi V3) - fantastic comfy load lugger.
