If it's a uk turbo2000 then it'll be a td04, which is referred to as 'smaller' than a td05 whether that makes it a 'small' turbo I dunno.

Depends what model car
A UK turbo does run a TD04 for that year.

Sorry ,yes of course, a UK car , TD04 ok cheers,how does that fit in the lag /power stakes ,is Alanbell right?

Yup, all turbos suffer lag, though you sometimes either dont notice it because its that little or you change your driving style and drive around it, its good for around the 270bhp mark.
