Default Towbar Pictures?

Next sad newby question...does anyone have any photo's of towbars?

My current car has a really ugly non-removeable bar on it so I'm thinking of going for the Subaru removeable bar when I (hopefully) buy a WRX wagon tomorrow.

If the non-removeable one isn't hideous then I'd prefer to save the extra dosh and spend it on something better....like more Optimax

Only picture I have to hand at the moment, this is the removable swan neck type. As you can see it's hardly noticable when in stealth mode.

Yep, i agree with the removeable one. I had one on mine and infact it covers the view of rear diff. Great when the car starts becoming older and the rear diff becomes discoloured etc.

When you get the removeable one, a plastic cover is provided to attach over the swan neck "receptor", it covers and hides everything beautifully it even has the Subaru logo on it

Which is nice

BTW i'm talking about the OE kit as thats the one i had on

Three years ago the removeable one fitted as above, you could see a plastic cover just below the rear bumper and the tow bar slid into it parallel to the ground. Pretty unobtrusive.

Then last year they changed it. Tow bar now fits vertically upwards into the receptacle which is totally hidden behind the bumper. To match this the wiring socket is hinged so it also slides up out of sight. So not just unobtrusive, totally invisible!!
