I know this topic has been done to death but just asking for some advice:

Subaru Impreza WRX 1993 (Import) non-modified:

Driving along, temp fine, stuck in traffic and engine temp increased only a few notches. Pulled in and turned engine off. (Not sure if engine fans kicked in though) The radiator was leaking water and the water was pouring out of the overflow pipe. let it cool then poured about 2 litres of water in, (mind u it had spilled out loads). Started car fine, engine temp went up again, but still loads of steam from radiator and no hot air from the heaters.

Called out RAC (not wanting to risk anything), guy came not really knowing much about impreza's.

He reckoned it is most likely the thermostat or the engine fans not cutting in that has caused the radiator to break.

Car lifted to garage, who i am calling in the morning ............ any ideas or thoughts appreciated
