UK cars are generally 3.9 front, 1.1:1 transfer box and 3.545 rear diff.
Generally, JDM/Australian cars are either 4.44 or 4.11 front and rear diffs with a 1.0:1 transfer box.
STi 5/6 is 4.44. The Classic WRX can be 4.11 or 4.44 depending on model or year.

Take the diff cover plate off and count the teeth on the crown wheel and pinion.
It will help if you mark a tooth on each with either yellow engineers chalk or use some typex.
4.44 = 40 teeth on the crown wheel and 9 on the pinion.
4.11 = 37:9
3.9 = 39:10
3.545=39:11
