i recently bought my first scooby (97 turbo 2000). thing is, i havent had a turbo b4 so i dont realy understand them. i was told the car is running 14psi boost, yet wen i floor it my boost gauge seems to be away up in the twentys. does that make sense? is this normal? Also should i reduce the boost in winter coz of the cold air? sorry if this sounds like a lot of crap, im just a bit paranoid about blowing it up.

 

Well they spin up forcing air into the engine, the colder the dencer the air the more performance.

HOWEVER i am new to it all to, There are some pretty good guides out there to explain it all but the entire engine modding lark takes some reading and learning!

I sure some more exprienced members will happily shed more light on that for you
