Default WRX STI Type R Prices & Buying help

Im just after some hlp on prices for these beasts. As its an import there isnt a glasses or anything like that to go via so how much would I expect to pay for a good one.

Whats the service intervals on these and I wont be taking it a main dealer just a specialist, so what prices can I expect to pay for major and minor services? Any common problems or costly services to look out for?

My criteria
MY99
3dr
on more than 35k tops
Well looked after

Any help much appriciated!

I've just paid £12.5K for an unmodifed v4 (1998) with 49K on the clock. Probably paid over the odds, but I wanted one unmodifed and it is in very good condition.

I was told that service intervals are every 6K.

All Type Rs are 3dr btw.

Um, off the top of my head I can't remeber exactly. Something like £150 to £350 for minor/major (from a specialist) and an extra £100 ish for cambelt?

You need to get them serviced every 7500 miles or 6 months, whicherver is sooner.

Best giving API Engines http://www.apiengines.com or Powerstation http://www.powerstation.org.uk a call for an idea of exact costs.

Main dealers are more expensive, but a lot of them won't touch grey imports. My local one won't anyway.
