Default noise question

any way to get the power without the noise? I am running an afterburner backbox and like the sound but dont want more, want the decat but dont want the volume is there another option ( ie hi-flow cats )

Sorry mods torn between here and technical, thought more of a general question really

Hi-flow cats and resonated centre sections will keep the noise down reasonably well. If you want quiet, you've got the wrong backbox - the afterburner isn't the noisiest about, but it certainly isn't the quietest. You could fit a full decat with e.g. a prodrive backbox and it would probably be quieter than what you've got at the moment.

Dont get me wrong I love my backbox, I just cant afford to go louder working shifts etc.

I think my one off carbon/ti afterburner may be for sale soon

Try a decent sports cat downpipe and resonated centre - it probably won't be noticably louder at low throttle openings. And if that's a problem, get a bung made up for when you're working late.

Hello matey

I've got the afterburner as well - lovely noise! Ready for a full decat I recently bought a bung from H&S for it and it makes a huge difference to the level of noise in the cabin.

Only £30 ish and well worth it!

Hope this helps

Dave.
