Red face

Noticed this morning a blue tinge to the front discs as well as what looks like scouring on the discs but are unmarked.

The pads are Mintex road/race can't remember the number as well as braided pipes.

The discs have worn down as I am on my 3rd set on pads in 18,000 miles, and was wondering wether to change them before track day or wait till after when they could be trully knacered.

Has anyone fitted the Diamond discs as sold by Scoobymania etc ?

What with the extra power the car developes the brakes seem to be taking a hammering.

Buy the way have been out of the country for a few weeks what has happended to the power run that was going to be organised.

Thanks.

Grant

Grant,

I'm no expert, but have come across this before - it could be that the disks have been overheated. Are the brakes rubbing in any way? or have you been driving like a demon?

I changed from Mintex 1155 pads / OEM disks to EBC green stuff pads / turbo grooved disks and haven't looked back!

My OEM disks went blue (and seriously crazed) after fitting EBC Greens and going for a play around 3 Sisters track in Wigan.

Changed to Tarox and Mintex 1155's, no problems since.
