Any tips, the bottom of the exit pipe seems covered in caked on soot, it used to just wash off with a sponge, but doesn't any more!

Is the WW alloy wheel cleaner worth trying?

Try a tube of Auto Solve metal polish from any car shop for a couple of squids, prepare to be dazzled!

I have used Wonder Wheels on mine, and it works a treat, just be very careful not to get it on the paintwork !!!

I use the silverpolish made by "Brasso"....works a treat.
Never used the one for brass though.
