I'm in need of some new shocks for MY94 WRX.

I've been looking on the net for a while trying to find a nice upgrade but it seems that the only thing available is mega coilovers costing a bloody fortune! Managed in the end to find a Bilstein setup but at £500 even this is a bit much and really more than i need.I ain't competent enough to fit it so add another £100 to that AND a full geometry setup and it will add up Getting my belt done this month also.

Can i just buy standard new STI shocks at a decent price and use them with the springs i have now? I think i my cars been lowered as it is but can't make out any name on the springs.

So really i just need the cheapest and best option on new suspension Been on ebay but don't fancy buying second hand

Try looking at www.camskill.co.uk They do standard replacement KYB's or for a little more they do the KYB adjustables. Nice prices too, won't bust the bank!
