Hi All,

I purchased a bung for my HKS Hiper Ti Tip (classic) & the part number was
3306-RA076 , (called 115 mm by HKS) the bung was a black conical affair which would have been perfect but it was not of sufficient diameter so it would have rattled around.
My tail pipe is 115 mm internal diameter as far as my ruler says
The supplier then sent me 3306-RA071 which is a twin ring steel affair requiring 2 bolts (only one hole drillled on Ti Tip) & this does not fit past the rivets in the Ti Tip but IS the correct diameter.
Anyone know the correct part number??

I have the same one as the 2nd one you have mentioned. I also have the Ti-tip Hiper, so all I did was, knock the welds off the 1st ring (Not the one with the srcew hole in it!), the ring is only spot welded in place, so a tap with the hammer should suffice!. Then tap the ring down the pipe, towards the other ring say half an inch. Spot weld the ring in this position and voila!

With a little bit of wriggling, the bung will fit flush with the end of the tailpipe, and allow you to fit the screw/nut in the bottom of tailpipe to keep the bung in!!

You only need the 1 screw IMHO.

However I'm pretty sure the conical design is correct as that is what my 01 Ti Tip had. TBH the twin ring design doesn't look like it will have much effect on noise & living in London,doing a lot of long drives,plus owning a Type R with low gearing I need a quiet exhaust.

Mine came with the exhaust. i will check if there is a part number on the insert.

It has two nuts and they both mate with the holes in the outlet pipe. Funnily enought it only fits one way. The holes on the oultet pipe are not equidistance apart.

The centre section is also mild steel but thats another story.
