Question Apexi Power FC for pre 96 model?

Is there a different in model version for the Apexi pfc when it comes to lets say the version 3 Sti compared to the version 2 sti, as the v3 has the coil pack sitting on the inlet mainfold (but both are still pre96?)
I have a 95 Sti and might change the the inlet manifold to the later v3 type in the furture. (helps fitting front entry turbo etc & larger tmic)
I suppose it would give me more options if the pfc model was the same for both v3 & v2 sti etc.

STi3 is MY97, as Jay says. MY97/98 have a different (tamper proof) ecu to the MY96 and earlier. Changed again for 99/00.

Apexi PFC is the most VFM alternative for 97/98s. Scoobyecu for earlier MYs

No, they are different models. You will need the pre97 version unless when you intend to fit the later manifold you also want to fit the entire engine loom too. Pre97 ecu is 4 plug, post 97 is 3 plug. There are also differences in Map sensor etc which make the ecus not interchangeable.

Stick to the pre97 PFC and if you switch to the later manifold it will work fine, i'd also keep the individual coil packs rather than the manifold mounted MY97/98 version.... but this can be wired in to work with pre97 ecu.

My mis-understanding thinking a P reg V3 sti was classed as MY96.

So I could use the later phase 1.5 inlet manifold & keep the individual coils.
What about the later 3 pin TPS?

Thanks Guys

The pre97 manifold has a 4 pin TPS and like you say the post 97 is 3 pin. The extra pin is the idle switch but the Power FC doesn't use this so you can get away with using just the 3 pins. Two of the pins will need to be swapped over tho as the voltages are reversed.

To be honest I wanted to try to get around the later v3 TPS to work on my standard ecu (scoobyecu). To get me up & running until I have more funds for the new turbo (not decided yet which type?)
I know that some peeps have managed to get around it by different methods one being adding a mirco switch or something? But they also have used upgraded ecu (motec, apexi etc) Not yet seen or heard of a gadget/fix for the standard ecu.
I would still be interested in knowing which wires go where (tps) when you have time Kev, no rush.

I have already sourced a fmic (hybrid), 550's injectors, fuel pump etc.
I think the apexi pfc will be part of my mod collection plus it is VFM in terms of remapping/tweaks costs in comparison to the scoobyecu. 2nd value good too.
