Hi could any one tell me if thay no anything about a recall that happend on all 1998 uk turbo Impreza.i think it was somthing to do with the Gearbox. Could any one tell me what Subaru should have done to the cars and how you can tell if the changes have been made.

only work that was done to my knowledge was to cure a piston 'slap' issue.............engines were re-built or replaced..........??

thinking about it '99 cars has an issue with the locknut on 5th gear...........maybe this is what you are thinking of??

ive just fould out that its somthing to do with the fly wheel and that it makes the car judder when chageing gear but thats as much as i no. as any one else had this problem and if so how do you sort it out?

 

never heard that one and have done lots of clutch changes...............we do do l&b O.E. flywheels but that's a different thing altogether..........

Does anybody know if there were time restrictions on the piston slap cure as i have a MY98 and i think it has it. 87k on the clock....maybe too late !
