Default STI I/C + slightly modified WRX = more lag?

Well, I wonder if an STI I/C could increase lag if fitted in a MY03-04 WRX PPP'd or Ecutek'd.
Currenlty my car runs fine with PPP + Scoobysport decat + STI backbox, I just want to add a bigger STI TMIC for the hot Greek summer just for safety, do I have increased lag or higher spool up point?

Never found any more lag or delay in spool up when i fitted one to my 2004 wrx, good idea to fit one for the hot weather to be on the safe side, just remember not to rag it straight away if it's been idling for a while due to heat soak.

I'll wrap my turbo with thermo-tec turbo heat wrap and have already done my full exhaust.
I'll use also an STI underscoop with my factory hood scoop as I don't like the huge STI scoop.

STi scoop would be better as it gets more air to the intercooler, if you keep the standard scoop the STi underscoop won't fit (I've tried to fit it), you will have to modify the standard underscoop to get more air to the intercooler & maybe fit some kind of waterspray to help keep things cooler .

I haven't noticed any extra lag doing this to my PPP WRX recently, but swear that peak boost is coming in earlier - I'll hopefully run delta dash on the car next week and compare it with runs from this time last year to see if this is really true.

Jim - I'll post the delta dash runs on the Ecutek forum when I have them.

I have also kept the WRX scoop, but hacked at an STi air splitter to make it fit. I've also transplanted the STi intercooler system into the wagon.
