nah 5" tailpipe is not the same as bore. Some systems have a small(ish) bore then going into a much larger tailpipe. Systems like that will be a lot quieter than a 5" bore throughout.

I don't know enough about scoobies to tell you if yours is likely to be a 5" bore throughout, but I would doubt it was that big all the way through.

as in pipe from box is 5", b4 box i think is 2 1/2" or 3"

Have just bought it!

Is 3" off turbo into 2 1/2" then 5"

last week i was following a scoob (type and colour withheld in case hes in this bbs)
he had a horrid exhaust noise its one of those rasp noises.
when i was following him it sounded like......y'know when your grandad farts.

ps and the scoob smells too.

Sure it couldn't have been my quiet little number!

125.2 dB by proper calibrated noise meter at 1 m and 45 degrees.



Oh - and it's coming off as soon as cause its bloody ridiculous and I'll get locked up if it stays on!!
But yes it's raspy and noticeble!!!!

P.S. Not a mongoose - it's 3" right through with no resonator OR BACK BOX...just ends with innocent looking 4" tail pipe.
