i ran a apexi and it was pretty ok. The only thing is that you NEED a remap because the filter change's te flow which make's the MAF see a lot more air.
My Car was mapped at 11.0 and after fitting the APexi it was 9.0-9.5 AFR

I've choose for the apexi because i've read somewhere they had the best flow and filtering

Im going for the APS with an FMIC, mostly because I hate the noise of engine bay cones. The APS isnt the best design, as its a bit small, and as Harvey will tell you - it will destroy the car very quickly if its not remapped straight away. It does get a good cold air source though, which is a tricky thing to get with underbonnet type cones.

If its any induction kit, it has to be the K&N IMO. Places like BRD, Lateral and Performance Subaru sell their own variants of it.

Im not keen on Yank / Jap stuff as they tend to think of pure airflow rather than filtration...

Tried and tested.

Not mine, dunno if it's just me, but on mine the rubber on the base of the cone split!!!!!! making a hole about 80mmx10mm, Sending huge amounts of unfiltered air straight into the maf!
Grr.

The apexi for my99 is situated in the original's filters positon and not isolated from the motor's heat. Does't this hot air aspiration cause a decrease in power? what happens if the hoods rigth side cover over de filter is removed? is this better for cold air aspiration, which means more power? any negative side?
