Default My Diff has died help!, rebuild possibilities? availibility of replacement?

Further to my post about the whining/grating noise just had the car looked at and they have confirmed that the rear diff is knackered.

A new diff assembly is around £2k

does anybody know of anyone who rebuilds the diffs?

Would try to source a second hand one/front end write off but apparantly for the STi 4`s there are 3 different types, really model specific.

help, gutted is not the word Only had the car a couple of months.
