Hello Scoobynet. I'm a Skoda Octavia vRS owner - got it last month and am loving it.

Used to have a Scooby - a 1.8 litre L series estate. A hoot to drive especially if I went into Colin Macrae mode

A bit of a handful in 4WD as no centre diff

I had a scoob till a couple of months ago

Now in a Fabia vRS

Apart from getting to grips with FWD after 5+ years of AWD, this Skoda is a great motor with surprising oooomph

 

No centre diff in early L-series. A solid propshaft between the transfer box and the rear axle. You normally drove in FWD , but had the options of 4WD high ratio and 4WD low ratio. The latter, along with winter tyres, made the beast almost unstoppable in snow

One winter morning I overtook a snowplough which was stuck in a drift

 

So we have a "Matchmaker" and a "Missy", both driving Skoda's. Maybe you should get together to discuss your cars and other things! Now I can be a match maker!!!

 

Don't think SWMBO would be too happy

Anyway, as for the matchmaking, I work in a dating agency

 

So it did drive like a tractor then

and I just re-read the post, thought he meant the vRS had no center diff. Remember the scoobys with the lever in the center console to engage 4wd, all went a bit crabby.
