Hi all,

Im looking at buying an aftermarket backbox for my 2003 STI Type UK. Would something like a Scoobysport or Magnex fit the standard pipework and the Prodrive exhaust that comes with the PPP kit (I found the Prodrive exhaust almost the same as the standard car for noise levels and want just a little more). I want to change the backbox now but I will be fitting the PPP kit later in the year.

Also, once I have a backbox, can I upgrade the rest of the system (box up) or would I need to buy a whole new system with larger bore.

Any recommendations? The backbox needs to have a round tailpipe, nothing too large or Jap looking, nothing too loud and be able to be upgraded at a later to stage with further exhaust mods to produce a few pops/bangs/noise (unless anyone knows of a backbox that will pop a bit with the cats in place and standard none ppp pipework?)?

the PPP comes with a new back box. the pipe size is 2 1/2" into the back box
most aftermarket back boxes use this size and will fit your car. some higher performance cars go for a 3" system but you would need a complete system for that.
