Default any idea what it is

to the left of the intercooler thers a litte black valve that comes off the air filter pipe it looks a bit like a std dumpvalve .anyone now what it is the code on it says 14471aa001 084900-0491 abv my cars a p reg

exactly what you've said by your description..................std re-circ dump valve

yeah but someone said that the dv is on the right side of the ic

yes i do.................as above for your age of car its the std re-circ d/valve........................only the later cars have them off to the right!!
