hello, my 93 wrx has been stood for about 2 months and during that time the battery went flat, i replaced the battery today and started it up, now the check engine lights keeps comming on, any idea what could be doing this could it be because the ecu had no power? it was fine before i was stood

I'm reasonably new to the Scooby arena but how about an ECU reset..?

If after a reset you still get the CEL coming on then you can interrogate it for error codes and a root cause.

i done the ecu check and got the following fault codes

_ _ . . 22 knock sensor

and

_ _ _ _ . . . 43 throttle switch


i think i read the correct.

what does this mean is it bad

 

Could be down to degraded fuel. Stick some octane booster in and some fresh optimax, reset ecu and see if the errors reappear
