MAF failing due to Induction Kit.
I have a MY99 uk turbo and I have had to change the MAF sensor twice in the last 6 months. I am fairly sure it is due to the HKS induction kit I am running. It has also been mapped to run this induction kit and I need to know what my options are?
Is it possible to put something like a K&N or standard air box back on without having to have it re-mapped again or would it need to be looked at whatever it is changed to?
Cheers.
Gratz.

I changed back from a K&N induction kit to the standard airbox and a green filter.
I got 10-20 degrees of cooler air backing the move and I have seen to restriction in the airflow either.
Obviously the comedy induction noise has gone but a small price to pay for better performance.
I did get my map checked and their were some slight tweaks made to it but nothing serious or that took to long.

Thanks for that.
Was thinking of changing it to the K&N 57i to see it that was a better induction kit to use. But didn`t realy want to have the map looked at but if I decide to go back to the standard box I will get it checked out to be on the safe side.
Cheers.
