Std. Lambda - What does it Max out at....
Can anyone confirm what the standard narrow band Lambda max's out at i.e what the leanest it will read at WOT.
I did know and have also read a thread relating to the SECS Lambda reading.
I've got a mate who may want me to remap his ScoobyEcu, but I have no wide-band at present, so just wondering what precautions to take if we have to stick with the stock lambda
cheers...

It will go to zero volts far enough lean of stoich and stay there if lean enough. A boost creeping STi 5 I logged did this at 20 PSI at 6000 RPM. Knackered fuel pump. I've not correlated it with wideband simultaneously.
I wouldn't map anything remotely wild without a wideband now, but on a healthy lambda sensor if it goes above 0.89-0.90V it should be OK, but there are exceptions. The Link manual recommended 0.87V can have it as lean as 13:1 though. Which is not ideal.

I've only had my wideband a short time, but I've become quite dependant on it now...
I've just done a 550cc 1.6 bar ScoobyECU map, and I found that the fuel map cells are quite accurate representations of what the wideband shows. Quite a nice result.
I'd not want to rely on this fact alone, but in conjunction with det cans and the narrow band lambda you should be OK as long as you aren't doing anything too wild and the rest of the car is well maintained.

Nice one....
I'll still try and persuade him to get the Wide-Band tho'
then when he sells the car (as he always does), I'll have it off him
P.S... Dave...have you got that 2-bar / 3-bar map sensor correllation you can ping accross.
cheers.....
P.P.S.. john..He has an FSE and Walbro 255 ltr pump, but at present no pressure gauge. So that's another thing I'm telling him to get sorted.
