Default Fuel / air mix?

On my WRX MY93 i am only getting about 19 mpg and thats taking it very easy, ie not going above 2500rpms!!!

The car has been well moddified, i had a recent service and tune done on it, just wondering if the fuel/air mix is not right and how easy it is to change or sort out?

Any ideas?

If it has been 'well modified' it will have either an upgraded chip or aftermarket ECU, this should be ensuring your Air/Fuel ratio is on target.
When you say it had a 'tune' done on it ? What exactly did you get done ?

The engine wasnt running right when i first got it, so took it to re performance centre, apparently it was only running on 3 cylinders. They fixed it and i asked them to tune it, just so that it was running right, nothing more or less.

The car runs lovely, performs incredibly, 0-60 around 4.5 but not even the garage new what mod had been done to the engine, yeah the usual dump valve, sparco hoses, strut brace, etc but they didnt know what else ?!?

The car just seems to drink petrol and my mates WRX (auto) is so much more efficient!

I just really want the efficiency back cheers
