Default rebuild what spec?

right got hold of a spare engine and i wanna go sick on the rebuild looking 2 break at least the 400 break barrier if not more just need to know things like what compression what pistons and basically all the internal stuff so i only have to do this side once i mean the injectors etc i can always play with till i find the right set but obviously the internals need to be right first time

Read the projects section...........plenty of info to be getting on with, then you can be more specific.

Your question is somewhat broad & general......

I've gone down the 2.5 route, if you do a search for 2.5 conversion you will find a lot of info and the thread i started. I was looking to spend £4000 when i blew the engine but after buying all the bits the final cost of going the 2.5 route is gonna be in the region of £7000.

You may be better off with a 2.0 litre closed deck block for serious power, XS prefer with a 2.5 to make 350 bhp & 350 ibs of ft torque & no more, our mapper will only map for fuelling not to get 400 or 450.

It does make a great daily driver & has plenty of powe when needed, though any more go the 2.0 litre route otherwise as others have mentioned you will look at a lot of money...
