Can anyone here help me? I’m about to buy a 2002/03 Impreza WRX. I’ve driven one with the Prodrive Performance Pack, which, needless to say, I liked!! However, I cover a few miles every year and no one seems able to tell me what effect this modification has on the m.p.g. Obviously it depends how the car is driven but does it make a big difference?

 

No difference AFAIK. I think Prodrive say as much on their site somewhere.

averageing 190-220mls on £42ish

 

I had the PPP fitted to my UK300 after about 7000 miles and if anything the mpg seemed to improve slightly - You don't "have" to drive it quite so hard to get a similar level of enjoyment .


Mind you - If mpg is a BIG concern you probably shouldn't be looking at a Scoob .

 

Im my experience MPG is actually better from standard for normal driving but drive it like a hooligan and you will use more.

 

Yes I agree, my previous MY02 with PPP was more economical when driving carefully but the fuel gauge moved quickly when hammering it.
