Waiting for the wife to post a letter and a police car drives by and has a look,onder2: I collect the wife and drive off and he,s waiting around the corner and waving me down.
Oh dear, well at least I wasn't speeding just sitting there (was I?) - anyway he wanted to check what security I had on the car, as several Scoobs have been used lately (for obvious reasons he said) as getaway cars after ram raids.
I told him it was fitted with a tracker as well as std alarms etc. but he said not many police cars in our area have the tracker locator systems fitted??
I live in Diss in Norfolk where the crime rate is about the lowest in UK - however some bright sparks have knocked of a few ATM's and gave the boy's in blue the slip by using all that AWD STI power..

Anyway it was good to speak to a real live person who had some relevent advice to help, rather than more poxy cameras doing very little good for road safety or catching real criminals.

 

He might have meant that not many police cars have the VHF tracker recievers, which I gather need two police cars to triangulate the location. GPS tracker recievers only need one car, afaik.

 

2 police cars or more is best.

However 1 will do the job, just takes a little longer.

 

Got a tracker on my car but not sure I'd want it back if it got TWOC'd anyway.
