Had the same thing - driven from the speedo - does that read correctly, if not replace.
Did this and still had the probelm.
Turned out to be a break in the cable at the ECU, took ages to trace - the light only came on 20 mins after an ECU reset.

the speedo is working fine so i will check the cable at ecu
