Smile Apexi Power FC from Greenline Motorsport

I'm sure there's a few people out there who have ordered one of these so I thought i'd put the questions to you all:

1) Greenline have an offer on which includes the commander for 79,233 yen (£405.66). If I were to order these does anybody know how much I would get stung at customs?

2) They offer a boost control kit as an optional extra. I guess from their description that this is a bit of kit to set different boost levels at the flick of a switch? Is this the case & is it worth getting?

3) I know that Andy F maps these things & the results (from what i've heard) are more than a little impressive . There would obviously be the travel expenses but how much does he normally charge?

4) If the offer at Greenline ends I spose the question is...do I need the commander & control kit if Andy is going to map it or will I just need the ECU?

5) Last but not least...power expectations? Would be a UKMY95 with an STIv4 short motor, 440 22B injectors, alloy pulleys, straight through 3" scoobymania exhaust with a custom H&S Afterburner 3" backbox, STI top mount, induction kit, bosch coils & magnecor leads.

Cheers for all your help

AndyF does a good "all in deal" at £700 iirc for the supply, fit and mapping of the apexi power fc.
I believe its £180 if its map only.
£200 flight shared between however many you can get together (we had 5)
commander is useful if you need extra display gauges or want to tinker with your map.

dont worry about the boost control kit, get an avc-r to run with the pfc and it will be happy days
I have three boost maps in my avc-r
0.5 bar valet/limp home
1.0 bar daily commute
1.3 bar funtime
you mention your mods but no sign of a td05 in there

why on earth not!

Sorry thought that was par for the course on a MY95UK Love that turbo it's a beauty

So what do you reakon then? 300BHP/290lbft? It was running 312BHP on the old engine with a ScoobyECU at 15.5psi but if I recall the torque was quite low I would expect to be running around 20psi on the new one at a guess & the ECU should sort the torque probs so am I being realistic with those figures?

I didn't a have to pay any duty when I got my PFC from Greenline, nobody I know has ever been stung for duty when getting something from Greenline. I don't know how they get round it, but they do

If I was going to do it again though I would just get it supplied by Andy F, as he mapped mine anyway.

I agree with this 100%, the amount I saved I personally don't think it was worth the hassel getting it from Greenline, even though the service from them was first class. The price Andy sells the FC mapped for is a very competive price

The main reason I bought my FC from Greenline was they were able to supply a version that Andy couldn't get hold of, and mine was proberbly the first 1 in the UK according to Andy he didn't even have the software to map it

Yeah I spose at £700 mapped that's a very good deal and it takes away all the hassle . Once my car's back & run in I think I may need to give him a call

Cheers guys

I'd be in no hurry though. Would be running the STI block on my 380's & standard ECU (with chip) until it's run in . So thankfully it's not like I wouldn't have a scoob. Though if push came to shove I would just use the other one

The girlfriend isn't too impressed at the moment as mine is in the garage & I keep nicking hers . I just use the excuse that car sharing is good for the environment LOL

Mind you that doesn't stop me hooning around in it all day
