Question Fitting Centre Section Of Exhaust

I have an MY02 WRX Wagon with an ninja back box, to increase noise levels I have just purchased an Afterburner non-resonated centre section. I have tried to fit it tonight but the flange on the standard Cat Pipe is slightly larger than the one on the new centre pipe and therefore the holes for the Sprung bolts do not line up.

Has anybody experienced this before or am I missing something really straight forward?

I think I should have bought the afterburner back box instead of wimping out and opting for the quieter ninja.

Thanks

Matt

Can you not drill the holes out a bit or are they way out?

They do appear to be quite far out, and the flange dosent appear to have enough width to widen the holes. I was presuming the centre section would be like the back box where it was interchangeable with the standard sections.

Will try to take it to an exhaust fitters and see if any better on the ramps rather than crawling about under the car on axle stands.
