Default Dashboad Warning Lights.

hiya people.
im trying to find out what a certain light on the dashboard means..... the light is like a box which squiggly lines coming from the top of it. It comes on every so often but in varying brightnesses.... is it something to do with the intercooler????

I think thats the Cat on fire sensor. I could be wrong though. Isn't it listed in the hand book. I could have done with 1 of those on my MY96 Sport, I've just melted mine, so now have lost the first cat, good excuse to decat though, but a bit late at 175k miles.

This does sound like the "Cat Overheat" light, from your description.
However, the fact that it is coming on with varying degrees of brightness would indicate a wiring problem.

Doesn't mean to say, you still don't have the sensor.

But I'll second the wiring problem.
