today i FINALLY got to the bottom of my wet boot floor saga

todate i had checked and resealed these items

rear boot rubber was removed and i had used mole grips to clamp it shut tighter to grip the bodywork better, i had also added sum silicone to help seal it up

and it was neither

in the depths of the rear arches/boot floor in the pockets down the side there is 2 large fixings, one of them looks like a vent for the fuel system which passes close by, the other side has the same hole with a blanking plate

after a lot of water being passed over the back lights i finnaly saw the water dripping in through these and filling the side pockets of the boot floor with water

rather then take the bumper off i resealed these from the inside with silicone and did another water test, which it seamed to pass

worth looking at if yours leaks, its took me ages to find this and i wanted it sorted for the upcoming winter

from what i can see without stripping them down they only have sum crappy foam gaskets??

poor design, im thinking the bodyshop probably removed mine when i had the back end painted and never refitted them properlly
