Question DV location, Sti V3 with Sti 8 TMIC

Bitten the bullet and fitting an Sti8 TMIC onto my Stiv3 engine. Anyone know if the v3 DV will be ok with this TMIC if i simply make an elbow for the IC and pipe to the existing DV?
Would be ok in my opinion.

I'm doing the same on a MY97 but with a MY02 WRX I/C
Not put any boost through it yet though.

i fitted a newage forge dump valve to mine but why not just get an original newage dump valve and fit that, everyone seems to upgrade so it cant be that hard to find one

I think it would hit the throttle body or idle valve on the V3/4 engine Steve.

Exactly, that's why a simple metal elbow to get the stock v3 onto the TMIC should do it.

My WRX I/C

This is after I trimmed off the old mounting flange

The STI8 I/C flange might be further over due to the size increase

I was looking at a STi V8 TMIC on a STi V4 rally car earlier this week, the car in question was running anti lag and no dump valve, but the TMIC only just cleared the ISCV even with the DV mounting flange completely cut out from the and replaced with a plate flush with the endtank.

I know someone who will do the conversion and fit a DV pipe on the edge of the end tank if you want.

Andrew...

Thanks everyone. This is what I'm expecting to have to do to get it all together. Steven, you have already sent me a general view of the Sti8 TMIC, but a close shot in the 'trouble' area would be good.

Andrew, thanks for the mod offer. The mod looks good and clean, but I think the DV location is further across than the WRX unit. Must try to find the 22B article tomorrow on DIY conversion.
