Default lumpy cams?

Hi,

Looking to spice up my 1.6 NA flat four. Any ideas of where I can get alternative cams? If not, which is the best OE cam to nick from the scrappies to have reground?

Also, in the back of my mind is slamming the engine into a single seater 4wd project I have, quite like the idea of the flat four. So what choice of OS pistons are there out there? Naturally quite keen on the short stroke 1.6 being overboard. Apart from all open block motors being weaker, are there any preferences?
Is there any knowledge on NA tuning these motors? Quite keen to remain NA as it is far easier on my license (need full nat race to hillclimb a turbo [or > 2.0 NA] single seater).

Cheers,
Glen.

Please, someone must have some experience of tuning an engine rather than the turbine?

Anyone with any experience on primary and secondary lengths? Looking to fab myself an exhaust manifold, unless there are any on the market (only seen turbo stuff avauilable).

Ta,
Glen.

Very few have bothered in the UK since the turbo has always been around, but its different in the states where they've only recently had the turbo. Try NASIOC.
