Quick Dreamweaver Question

Hope someone can help... (the sooner the better - I was hoping to get this finished today!
)
I've designed a site using dreamweaver - using layers to place objects as opposed to tables/cells. The site has been designed so that everything is visible when viewing on a maximised display at 1024 x 768... (expect some of you can guess the next bit
)
Is there any way that I can reconfigure the site within dreamweaver, so that the site resizes according to different browser sizes/resolutions? For example, i'd like it so that someone browsing on an 800 x 600 display can see the full site without having to scroll across as is currently the case.
Am I going to have to start from scratch? The big bonus of using layers for me, was the fact that I could overlap certain images, and elements - wish i'd stuck to tables now![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Help!
Many thanks in advance,
K.

I'm fairly new to web design so i'm not too sure what you mean - I used CSS styles to define elements of the site (various text elements in particular) - there's also a style attributed to "body" (which contains the background colour etc.) - is that the one you mean?
If so, what value do I need to alter?
Sorry for sounding thick - I guess we all start somewhere

I normally use tables to build liquid sites and work in percentages to achieve a decent look on a variety of screen resolutions. Can't remember if layer dimensions can be in percentages.
As a rule of thumb work to 800x600, check it looks ok in the biggest resolution your PC can manage and adjust if necessary.
And not forgetting cross browser compatability...
