Default How do you fit rear strut brace on MY03WRX

Was told that a front and rear brace could be fitted in about 45 minutes with just a socket set....Front was dead simple, took about 15 mins, but how do you fit the rear. It seems the parcel shelf needs taking out as the barest minimum, and that the mounts need removing and fitting then the brace reconnected after.....i don't really fancy fannying about with the seats, but i don't quite see how to get it done...any ideas???

Rear seat out

Parscel shelf off

Then you can put the two bits on the strut tops, put it all back together then bold the bar inside the boot to the bits coming off the strut tops you have just fitted...

Is this the same sort of process for fitting the rear strut brace on a 2001+ model?

I would have thought so, as far as i understand, it was purely a front face lift with the MY03.

I managed to fit mine. Front was really easy, but the back was a bit fiddly to get to fit over the mounts. Eventually got there though.

Haven't put the back on yet....i'll be booking the car in to Power Engineering to supply and fit some Eibachs and do the geometry, so i'm gonna wait and get them to throw on the rear brace when they are done.
