Gear changing
Hi all
Car keeps slipping out of 5th on the motorway
and now from time to time i cant get it in gear
I think the clutch is ok,its not slipping with 280bhp
Could be sincro mesh or something? has this happend to any of you?
if so, got any advice, apart from the obvious ,ie book it into a garage (:

5th gear
Get this seen too ASAP
My car (MY00) did thgis , its the retaining nut on the end on the main shaft
working loose. My garage couldn't look at it for 4 weeks. In that time
the loose nut wore through the plastic oil feed pipe for the 5th gear assembly, starved it of oil and seized the 5th gear syncro hub.
The syncro hub alone costs £250 + VAT so don't wait any longer!
