As some of you are aware I have a post on here regarding my Legacy 3.0RN, I need somebody to give me an idea as to what can be cosidered "Normal Oil Consumption" from the H6 engine.

I just dipped the stick and after 100 miles it ha s dropped about 15mm, when I had my Impreza which was driven hard, the oil never needed to topped up between oil changes (5000 miles)

The Legacy is more economical with petrol but uses almost as much oil as it does petrol.

 

It could be that you're not fully run in yet (it is new is it?).

BTW, how are you liking the 3.0? We were thinking of one.

 

Consider this a BTT.

My 944 Turbo uses a litre every 500 miles when I go round the Nordschleife. I was worried but when I read the owners manual it said "Your 951 could use upto 1 litre of oil for every 400 miles of use".

Mad eh!! Oh well, I'm keeping some bloke in the Middle East very wealthy!!
