does anyone know a cheap place to buy rocker cover gaskets for a 1998 sti as mine have a slight leak . i had one price of £170 which is a joke

I bought one for a my99 sti5,from the dealer (subaru) for less than £10.

I cant see how anyone could quote £170 for the rocker cover gasket,unless its including fitting (still too much).

Are you sure youre not being quoted for a head gasket?

 

If you replace all the parts from the dealer it comes to about £90 including the sealant iirc.. just the gasket it like said about £10 but there is then the spark plug seals, the halfmoons, bolt hole seals etc..

I expect the supplier was quoting £170 for both sides or taking advantage of the import!
