Angry Spyware help please

Have got some nasty little critter on my PC that keeps changing the default homepage in IE6 (running on WinXP Pro). I have Adaware, Spy Sweeper, Spybot and TDS installed but none of them can find/remove it (or stopped it getting through originally).

If I manually change the default homepage in IE to 'Blank' it immediately changes back to the dodgy address. I also have Norton Internet Security installed.

Initially the new homepage that it sets is www.msn.com, but as it tries to connect it shows a redirect in the URL string. It then just grinds to a halt and never actually gets to a website. It prevents me using IE to get online now as it eventually just stops responding.

I am using a different browser now to get on SN.

Any ideas would be much appreciated as it's driving me nuts.

If I then go back into Sys Config the checkbox shows a green square denoting that some items are still enabled. If I then click on the 'Startup' tab there are various startup items enabled, including one that has no name or command.

When I restart the PC these startup items still load and the problem with the default IE homepage is still evident.

I'm stuck - help! Please.....
