Default 0-200 kph / 20 sec ?

Is that possible to reach 0 to 200 kph at 20 sec with a stock Impreza GT or do I've problems with my speedometer... Two days ago I tried top speed on a closed highway with my car for the first time since I've bought it. Personally I dont like to do top speeds but I suprised from the results. 0-260 is damn slow, about 52 sec.

im not sure of the spec of an GT (assuming its a US spec car) but 0-200kph (125mph) in 20 secs, no chance at all. Most cars will struggle to get to 100 in under 13-14 secs, the next 25 in 6 secs would be a no no. You would need to up the power a fair bit get it to happen.

165kw@5500rpm
218bhp
It is not US spec car.

here is the footage:

I've only walbro341 fuel pump and Blitz Nür Spec muffler(not catback)
I dont think so that they effect my performance much.

I changed the wheel size to 225/45/16. It must not effect that much isnt it?

I thought the GT was high 20s for 0-200km/h.

So I was quite pleased when mine was low 12s

if there were 15" rims on there before then that would throw the speedo out a bit especially if you kept the same profile tyres....so that could be the issue.....when you change the size of the rims (but keep the same profile e.g. 225/17/45 to 225/18/45, then you should "really" have the speedo recalibrated)

Neil.

Looks like you were doing 260 @ 6K rpm, mine does 250 @ 6K rpm.

So despite the different wheel sizes I'd say you're not too far out.

That means nothing, as the speed is determined from the gearbox.

You could have tiny wheels and tyres and an indicated 260kph, but actually a low speed.

A ten second car must reach 240kph(155mph) around at 10 second. I think john banks is a famous ecu mapper isn't it? So it must be true that he reaches 200@12 second

For the engine rotate speed, yes I really cant rev up afterwards 6000rpm. So I think I need some torque at those rpms' In addtion to this I belive that catalitic converters have a big factor of revving up at those speeds? John any idea? You should easily be able to rev up 8K

12.13@124.9mph on 5 speed (wet) on the old turbo, new one is bigger but the six speed slows me down with an extra change.

The big power Subarus in the UK are probably about a second quicker to 125 than that, you might see a few at TOTB III

Yes cats will limit, as will pistons and heads to rev to 8000. Kaboom

It just makes the clutch smell horrid, and is slower.
